How to Have a Cheap AF (but magical) Wedding

Guys. Today is a random, spur of the moment post because it’s the anniversary of mine and AJ’s vow renewal! As some of you may know, AJ and I got married at City Hall in Chicago just a few weeks into dating and while it was so intimate and cozy, I still wanted that “big wedding” feel, but cheaper. So, about a year after we officially got hitched at City Hall, we had our formal vow renewal and it was magical, simple, and inexpensive. Here’s how we had our dream wedding for 7k: Limit the Guest List This helped us SO much. AJ and I really only wanted close family and friends at our wedding. So, if we haven’t seen you in a year, sorry. Of course there were people that our parents wanted to invite which was cool with us, we just told them they had to pay…

Three Things I’m LOVING at the Moment

I’ve been into lots of (in my opinion) fun things lately that I’m absolutely loving and I thought I’d share them with you guys! Plus! These things just so happen to save you time + money in the long run, so win win, amiright? Let’s get to them, shall we? Homemade Cashew Milk I recently just found out through a food sensitivity test that I’m highly sensitive to almonds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, chia seeds, sesame seeds, and a few more things (*insert eye roll*). The worst one for me though? ALMONDS! Um, goodbye almond milk lattes, Simple Mills Crackers, Barely Bread, almond flour goodies! But, ya girl is always trying to look on the bright side and I saw this as a PERFECT opportunity to start making my own cashew milk (thank buddha I can have those!) and I am LOVING it! I tried to look for a coconut or…

#FanGirlFriday: Jordan Younger of “The Balanced Blonde!”

Guys, I cannot tell you how excited I am for today’s FanGirlFriday feature: Jordan Younger of “The Balanced Blonde!” I have been absolutely OBSESSED with Jordan for forever now. Her energy is so captivating and contagious and she is SO sweet! I found Jordan through Instagram and I  was immediately drawn to her. Many of you guys may know her from social media too- she HAS made quite the little empire for herself 🙂 But, for those that aren’t familiar with her, she is the cutie wellness-loving, yoga-posing, girl-boss behind the lifestyle blog The Balanced Blonde. On her blog, you’ll find everything from healthy recipes, wellness hacks, self-care tips, yoga advice, and everything “healthy lifestyle” related! Jordan is so open and real with her “tribe” and that’s why we love her of course- she shares ALL aspects of her life: the good, the bad, and the ugly! Through it all, Jordan…

3 Ways to Meal Prep Vegetables!

Meal prep is my jam. Like, I look forward to it every single week. I would actually do it every single day if I could (but then we’d have a surplus of food in this house.) My hubs actually asked me the other day what my “ideal day” would look like and I said: “Wake up, go workout, come home, have coffee, hang with the kids, work on the blog/business, and then spend the remainder of the day in the kitchen cooking.” Seriously, it just relaxes me so much. But enough about my obsession, let’s get down to biz. So, a huge point of meal prep is that you have lots of healthy options to choose from during the week right? Right. Well, I know a lot of people are always wondering how to fit more veggies into their day or just make veggies taste good! Because they ARE good!…

Loving Your Workouts + Staying True To You

Workouts are hard. Loving your workouts are even harder. And recently, I got into a huuuuge workout rut. My workouts stopped feeling exciting, I felt like they stopped working, some days they were too easy, some days they were too hard- sometimes it just felt like a million things had to go right in order for me to get a great workout.  I felt so frustrated and stuck. Can you relate? I was so caught up in this mindset of what everyone else was doing by scrolling through social media. Like, “Oh! She does cardio 5 days a week, I have to do that!” Or, “She does Soul Cycle and she’s super in shape so I have to start doing that!” You know those feelings that creep up on you when you scrolling through Instagram. It’s like walking through Pleasentville. Everything and everyone looks perfect and you only see the…
